Partnering with Pop Mart, Hirono presents the public art exhibition *Behind Time*. As a distinctive healing‑themed IP, Hirono shares a strong spiritual resonance with the serene, nostalgic atmosphere of the abandoned village, enabling an in‑depth integration of art and nature.

Standing 8.5 meters tall, this giant sculpture adopts outdoor weather‑resistant FRP (fiberglass‑reinforced plastic) craftsmanship. Built to withstand harsh coastal conditions including heavy salt spray and strong sea winds, it faithfully reproduces Hirono’s cool, tranquil persona. Seamlessly merged into the natural landscape of the island and vine‑covered historic village, the artwork forms an atmospheric, highly shareable trend‑art landmark.

Constrained by the island’s unique geography, land‑based transport was unavailable. All sculpture components were delivered and installed via helicopter airlift. Faced with challenging conditions such as fierce island winds, the construction team overcame obstacles, rigorously monitored every lifting procedure, guaranteed safe and precise positioning, and delivered a successful full‑scale on‑site installation.

By embedding trend‑IP art within raw natural surroundings, the project realizes an innovative fusion of IP culture and local cultural‑tourism resources. It boosts island tourism and sets a benchmark for phenomenal outdoor public‑art installations.
